PURPOSE: To attain the transmission with priority without releasing reserved transmission by selecting transmission information having priority information with highest priority among sets of transmission information registered in a transmission reservation information section and sending the selected information.

CONSTITUTION: When current communication is terminated, an MPU 11 retrieves transmission information having highest priority among registered transmission information sets in a transmission reservation information section 16. When the transmission information to be sent is obtained, image information corresponding to an image file ID of the information section 16 is read from an image memory section 17 and sent via a line control section 19 and a communication line 6. The priority information is entered at reservation together with a destination telephone number and the image file ID by key entry or the like from an operation section 2. Thus, even when transmission reservation is in existence already, the transmission with high priority is sent before the registered reservation information.
