Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a failure of a booster device accurately and quickly, pertaining to a failure detector of the booster device which detects any failure against this device.
SOLUTION: This is a failure detector of a booster device that detects a failure with a booster device 22 doubling braking force by way of introducing negative pressure to a brake booster 17 via a connecting pipeline 18 from a surge tank 14, and it is so judged that a failure has occurred in a booster internal pressure sensor 23 to detect pressure acting on the brake booster 17 and the booster device 22 at a time when a variation ΔPB in brake booster internal pressure PB to be detected by this sensor 23.
