Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a false twist coated elastic yarn capable of providing smooth unreeling and traveling properties without shifting and being caught even by pressing in a preparation process and actualizing a knitted fabric having improved gloss and excellent elongation recovery and coating properties.
SOLUTION: This elastic yarn comprises an elongated elastic yarn arranged as a core yarn and a synthetic modified cross section combined filament yarn covering its circumference. The false twist coated elastic yarn in subjected to preceding twisting and false twist process in the same direction as that of the preceding twisting. The preceding twisting number Tw (T/M) satisfies 80<Tw<500 and the gloss degree G (45° -45°) satisfies 5.5<G (45° -45).
