PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent troubles such as a current larger than specified flows to a fan motor, or the fan motor does not run due to shortage of a torque from occurring by adjusting an on-time of a fan motor driving element in response to a DC current which is fed to the fan motor at the time of a starting mode.
SOLUTION: Two modes, a starting mode constituted of a positioning, a one-phase excitation, 1-2 phase excitation or the like, wherein a fan motor driving signal is forcibly outputted without detecting the location of a rotor when a fan motor is started, and a sensor mode wherein the fan motor driving signal is outputted based on a rotor location signal of the fan motor, are provided. Then, a DC voltage to be fed to the fan motor is detected at the time of the starting mode, and an on-time of a fan motor driving element is switched in response to the detected DC voltage. Therefore, troubles such as a large current not less than a regulation flows to the fan motor, or the fan motor does not run due to a shortage of a torque when the fan motor is started can be prevented from occurring.
