Abstract:

To provide a fastening device that can avoid or further reduce swelling of a tooth face during machining of a gear by a gear machining tool, in particular during machining of a bevel gear.SOLUTION: A fastening device 20 comprises a central reception-opening part arranged coaxially with a spindle shaft A of a work-piece, which device is designed to tighten a gear work-piece 1 including a head region and a shaft or a shank 3, and includes an annular contact plane. The annular contact plane is arranged coaxially with the spindle shaft A of the work-piece, is positioned at a region Eb1 at an end part at the work-piece side of the fastening device 20, and extended at a substantially right angle to the spindle shaft A of the work-piece, so that at least one groove 31 in a circumferential direction is provided in region Eb1 at the end part at the work-piece side. The groove 31 in the circumferential direction extends in a radial direction from an outer surface 29 of the fastening device 20 toward the spindle shaft A of the work-piece to provide the fastening device 20 with elasticity, in an area of the contact plane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
