Abstract:
To provide an Fe-based alloy having excellent corrosion pitting resistance, which has high corrosion pitting resistance to an aqueous solution having local corrosiveness mainly due to the existence of chloride ions, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: An Fe-based alloy having excellent corrosion pitting resistance, has a microstructure comprising a matrix and a dispersed phase, the matrix being Fe or Fe-based alloy, the dispersed phase being pure metal or alloy of at least one of Mo, V, Nb, W and Sn, or alloy with a total of Mo, V, Nb, W and Sn of 50 mass% or more. The dispersed phase has a volume ratio of 0.08% or more and 30% or less. Powder of pure metal or alloy to be the dispersed phase and powder of Fe or Fe-based alloy to be the matrix are uniformly mixed, followed by compression molding and sintering, resulting in the Fe-based alloy having excellent corrosion pitting resistance.SELECTED DRAWING: None
