PURPOSE: To prevent a feed bar from being left in an intermediate upright part by reducing the number of dividing points by one place compared with a conventional method by changing a dividing position of the feed bar, and executing quickly an operation by a portion which reduces the connecting and separating work of a dividing part.
CONSTITUTION: When replacing a metallic die, each connecting part 23 is separated, and the first bar 21A is moved to the upstream side by use of a feed mechanism of a feed bar 21. Subsequently, the third feed bar 21C is moved to the downstream side and is opposed to a downstream side die base part 22A, and the fourth feed bar 21D and a product fetching device 25 are moved to the downstream side. Subsequently, the second and the third bars 21B, 21C are carried out to the outside of a press by bolster trucks 24A, 24B, respectively. By said operation, a new metallic die can be carried in together with the bar 21. In this regard, the bar 21C which corresponds to an intermediate upright 20B, too at the time of operation is formed so as to be longer than the bar 21B, and accordingly, an interval of a downstream side die base part 22B for carrying in and out the bar 21C, namely, an interval between the upright 20B and an upwright 20C is expanded.
