PURPOSE: To maintain a feed in a properly viscous state and to prevent feed components from eluting int water, by adding wheat gluten and sodium alginate as the feed components to the feed.

CONSTITUTION: A mixture of 100pts.wt. wheat gluten and 3W40, preferably 5W 30pts.wt. alginate (sodium alginate, etc.) or a blend comprising total 100pts.wt. of the mixture and 1W20pts.wt. guar gum is kneaded with water, and the prepared blend is directly fed to fishes and shellfishes or the blend and a feed raw material or feed additive components which have been used conventionally are processed into paste.
