Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject feed which is useful for Japanese cattle being rich in vegetable fiber and excellent in sweet taste by mixing enriched feed for domestic animals with saw dust from turning lathes, adding an alcohol yeast to effect alcohol fermentation to decompose the saw dust into soft product like grass.
CONSTITUTION: Saw dust from turning lathes of broad leaf trees such as oak, birch, walnut tree, Japanese oak or the like is mixed with enriched feed for domestic animals and the mixture is inoculated with an alcohol yeast such as CF-yeast to effect the alcohol fermentation of lignin to give the objective feed which is a soft product just like grass.
