PURPOSE: To provide a feed roller made of elastomer provided with anti-bleeding characteristics by using low mol. wt. liquid rubber as a plasticizer.

CONSTITUTION: Elastomer 15 added with a petroleum softening agent such as arom. oil in polyethylidene norbornene is fixed on a mandrel 14, whereby a feed roller 11 is formed. In the prior art, there is the possibility of contaminating transfer paper on account of evaportion of oil or induction of bleeding after vulcanization. To eliminate such possibility, the quantity of the petroleum softening agent is decreased and in turn, plasticizers such as low mol. wt. liquid rubber and low mol. wt. polystyrene are added. Chloroprene, acrylonitrile butadiene, etc. are used for the liquid rubber. With respect to compressive deformation and mechanical properties, the quality equivalent to that of conventional rollers using petroleum softening agents alone is obtained.
