PURPOSE: To provide a feed roller that prevents a rubber roller, attached to the peripheral surface of a turning shaft, from arbitrarily shifting in the axial direction of this turning shaft, or this rubber roller alone from running idle otherwise.

CONSTITUTION: A feed roller fitted with a rubber roller 12 on the peripheral surface of a turning shaft 11 forms a pair of circumferential groove 13 on the peripheral surface of this turning shaft 11 along the circumferential direction via a proper interval in the axial direction of this shaft 11, while it also forms each spiral groove 14 dormed spirally toward the circumferential groove 13 on one side from the circumferential groove 13 on the other. In addition, each diagonal groove made up of crossing these spiral grooves 14 with each other is formed in space between these paired circumferential grooves 13.
