Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder to a carding machine, a stripper, etc., for a fiber material capable of improving the flow of a densifying air stream and the guide of the fiber material to a lower chute.
SOLUTION: This feeder for a fiber material comprises a first vertical chute 2 having at least one feed roller arranged in the lower opening and an opening roller 8 attached to one of the feed rollers. A second lower chute 9 extends from the opening roller 8 in the nearly tangential direction and a device for feeding air that passes through the fiber material thereinto in the lower chute 9 is provided. A densifying air stream flows along the opening roller 8 in the rotational direction of the opening roller 8. The densifying air stream initially flows along the feed roller 6 on the side for starting the second chute of the feed roller 6 and the opening roller 8 and then flows along the opening roller 8.
