Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a feeder head flask, which is possible easily fitting to and removing from a mold and has simple shape. by constituting the feeder head flask fitted on the top part of the mold by four pieces of plate sleeves and arranging a hollow for handhold at the upper outer side of each sleeve.

CONSTITUTION: By fitting the feeder head flask 10 on the top face of the mold for casting of steel ingot, etc., the feeder head is formed to molten steel poured. This feeder head flask 10 is formed by four pieces of heat insulating place sleeves 11W14 and after inserting them into a step part 20b formed at each inner face of the upper part of open part 20a for the mold 20, a corner part of each plate sleeve 11W14 laid side by side, to form as assembling the feeder head flask 10 on the upper part of open part 20 a for the mold 20. The hollow for handhold 11b is bored at center position of the upper part in the outer face 11a for the plate sleeve 11, and in the other plate sleeves 12W14, too, the same hollow for handhold 12bW14b are bored. By using this hollow, the sleeve is easily fitted to and removed from the mold, and stored as piling and the cost is low, because of simple construction.
