Abstract:
To accurately determine the life of feeding means for feeding a recording material.SOLUTION: A feeding device includes: storage means; feeding means including a feeding member, a conveyance member, and a separation member; detection means; measurement means; acquisition means which finds a reference time for determining a probability that an abnormal condition occurs when the feeding means feeds a recording material from a plurality of time data measured by the measurement means, and updates the reference time every time the feeding means feeds a predetermined number of recording materials; and determination means for determining the probability that the abnormal condition occurs based on the reference time and the plurality of time data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
