To provide a feeding method in a press machine, which method can automatically feed thin sheets to the press machine, and can carry out press work with industrially excellent productivity, and further to provide a feeding device.
A feeding device 10 of the press machine is attached to the press machine 12 for pressing one thin sheet material 11 or two or more overlapped thin sheets 11, and comprises a projection forming device 15 which is arranged on the upstream side of the press machine 12, and forms linear projections 14 at least on the leading side 13 of the thin sheet material 11 in the feeding direction of the thin sheet material 11, and a feeding device 16 which is arranged between the projection forming device 15 and the press machine 12, and supplies the thin sheet material 11 having the linear projections 14 formed thereon to the press machine 12. In this feeding method in the press machine, the stiffness of the thin sheet material 11 in the feeding direction to the press machine 12 is enhanced by forming the linear projections 14 on the thin sheet material 11, and then the thin sheet material 11 is fed to the press machine 12.
