This is the method of feeding the welding wire 5 while it is taken out from a pail 1 in which it is stored. The welding wire 5 drawn from the pail 1 is wound around a first roller 3 while the rotation of the welding wire 5 around the center axis thereof is restricted. Then, after being wound around a second roller 4 which is adjacent to the first roller 3 and which has the axial direction changed by 90° from the first roller 3, the welding wire 5 is guided to a wire feeding device 2.
