Title:
FEELING FEEDBACK GENERATING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ELONGATED OBJECT SUCH AS CATHETER OR THE LIKE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000042118
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain more real feeling by calculating desired axial force and torque on the axis applied as feeling feedback to an operator to an object to control a motor in a simulator device for training the operation for a long object such as a catheter or the like.

In surgical simulation related to catheter treatment a guide catheter 14' is inserted in a simulator and image of the guide catheter 14' is displayed on a display 62. Secondly, a balloon catheter 12' and a wire 10' as a long object are pushed in the guide catheter 14' to be displayed on the display 62. The objects are individually operated, and at this time, the axial transfer and rotation of each object is detected by a sensor in an actuator assembly 50 controlled by an operation terminal 60 through a drive/amplifier circuit 54, and the corresponding axial force and torque on the axis are generated in a motor to apply feeling feedback to an operator.
