To provide a novel fermented tea composition for controlling an intestinal function such as control of intestinal bacterial flora and shortening of a digestive tract passage time, and a method of producing the same.SOLUTION: A fermented tea composition for controlling an intestinal function includes as active principle a fermented tea substance by at least one type of lactic acid bacteria selected from a group consisting of Lactobacillus pentosus, Lactobacillus vaccinostercus, Lactobacillus coryniformis, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus gasseri, and Lactobacillus buchneri.SELECTED DRAWING: None
