Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve agitating efficiency by composing a fermenting machine of a moving stand which is movable back and forth on pit rails and a conveyor which has feeding pawls and raking members mounted at chains extended between a driving shaft and a driven shaft.
CONSTITUTION: The fermenting machine consisting of the moving stand 1 and the conveyor 2 as its constituting elements is arranged on the compost in a pit and the moving stand 1 is made to travel by itself to drive the conveyor 2. The compost is leveled by the feeding pawls 4 mounted at the driven shaft 2c of the conveyor 2 which is supported at one end of the frame on the moving stand 1 and is arranged with the other end diagonally downward so as to exist near the base of the pit. The leveled compost is raked by the raking members 3 mounted at a pitch on the plural chains 7 extended between the driving shaft 2b and the driven shaft 2c and is moved and transported onto the conveyor 2. The compost is then dropped into the pit from the driving shaft 2b side in the turn back position of the conveyor 2, by which the sufficiently agitated and turned compost is obtd.
