PURPOSE: To prevent the formation of martensitic phase in a weld heat-affected zone or a bead zone and also to improve bulging property and workability in a weld zone while obviating the necessity of annealing treatment after hot rolling, by incorporating specific amounts of Ti and Al to a ferritic stainless steel.
CONSTITUTION: Ti [0.01W15 (C+N)%, by weight] and Al (0.01W0.3%) are incorporated to a ferritic stainless steel containing <0.02% C, <0.8% Si, <0.8% Mn, 10W15% Cr, <0.6% Ni, and <0.02% N and a quantitative relation of 0≤(C+N-Ti/15)N/Al≤2×10-3 is provided to the above steel, by which a ferritic stainless steel requiring no annealing after hot rolling, excellent in the bulging property of base metal and workability in the part including a weld zone, free from the formation of martensitic structure in a weld heat-affected zone or a bead zone, and improved in corrosion resistance can be obtained.
