Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic viscous fluid capable of preventing sedimentation of magnetic particles and second condensation while reducing shearing stress in a range of high-shear rate.SOLUTION: A magnetic viscous fluid includes a mixture where magnetic particles and dispersion media are dispersed. The mixture of magnetic particles includes first magnetic particles, and second magnetic particles. The average particle size of the first particles is 1 to 50 μm. The average particle size of the second particles is 20 to 200 nm, and the second particle has a surface modification layer on the surface. The ratio of the second particles in the mixture of magnetic particles is 2 to 10 wt.%.
