Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a fiber to be bonded to a rubber, usable for the reinforcement of a rubber article such as tire, hose and belt, having excellent adhesivity to rubber and resistant to the lowering of the adhesivity even in a state wet with water.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of a resorcinol-formaldehyde latex liquid and a water-repellent is applied to a fiber and the coated fiber is dried and heat- treated to form a mixture of the resorcinol-formaldehyde latex and the water- repellent on the fiber surface.
