To provide a drum type fiber bundle cutting apparatus capable of preventing fiber bundle from clogging between knives by scraping out the fiber bundle cut with the knives by a scraper.

This fiber bundle-cutting apparatus has a cylindrical rotator 20 radially arranging many knives 24 in circumferential direction so that fiber bundle to be cut is wound around the rotator and a pressing roller 19 provided so as to separate by a prescribed distance from the blade tips of knives 24 in order to press the fiber bundle wound around the rotator further thicker than a prescribed winding thickness from the outside of diameter direction of the rotator 20. In the fiber bundle-cutting apparatus, a sawing blade-like scraper 30 provided between these knives 24, rotating together with the rotator 20 and reciprocating in the axial direction of the rotator 20 is installed in the rotator 20 and the scraper 30 hangs fiber cut pieces wound around the rotator 20, thrust between knives by the pressing roller and cut reciprocates. The fiber cut pieces are scraped out to the axial direction of the rotator 20 thereby.
