Abstract:
To provide a fiber collecting body for collecting fiber scraps dropped off from clothes during clothes washing to thereby inhibit leakage of micro-plastics into the ocean, which is excellent in property for collecting fiber scraps, strength, and handleability.SOLUTION: A fiber collecting body comprises: at least a fabric made from a woven or knitted fabric or a non-woven fabric; joining parts formed by joining portions overlapped in at least double layers, of the fabric; and an opening part. The fiber collecting body is configured with: 1) a distance between fibers constituting the fabric being 50 nm to 150 μm; 2) bulkiness of the fabric being 3 to 20 cm3/g as measured according to JIS L 1096:2010; 3) thickness of the fabric being 0.15 to 1.10 mm; and 4) tensile strength of the fabric measured according to JIS L 1096 being 20 N/5 cm or more in both the longitudinal and weft directions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
