Abstract:
To provide an optical fiber connection device designed such that in a case where adjustment to slack in an optical fiber is needed later, the slack can easily be adjusted.SOLUTION: An optical fiber connection device is installed in a terminal connection device 200. An optical fiber protective tube 30b having a hollow part is coupled in an axial direction with a heat shrinkable tube having a hollow part. A hot melt type adhesive having a hollow part is inserted into the hollow part of the heat shrinkable tube. An optical fiber 1a is inserted into the hollow part of the hot melt type adhesive. While one end of a support 32 is inserted into the hollow part of the heat shrinkable tube, the hot melt type adhesive is melted, and the heat shrinkable tube is shrunk. Thereby, the optical fiber connection device is obtained, which comprises: an optical fiber connection portion 30a in which one end of the support 32 and the optical fiber 1a are formed as an integrated structure; and a support fixing part 70 fixing a portion, extending out from the optical fiber connection part 30a, of the support 32 such that the portion can be attachable/detachable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
