Abstract:

To obtain a fiber processing agent capable of imparting softness and smoothness to various kinds of fibers and not causing the safety problem to the human body by using whey such as cheese whey or acid whey.

This water dispersible agent for processing fibers is prepared by using cheese whey produced in producing cheese or whey obtained by separating solid from a coagulant obtained by adding an acidifier to raw milk or fermented milk obtained by inoculating and culturing lactic acid bacteria, or proteolytic enzymes with the lactic acid bacteria in raw milk. Fiber materials are padded with a liquid of the above processing agent and then are dried at a temperature of ≥100°C to fix the processing agent.
