Title:
FIBER REINFORCING PLASTIC CYLINDRICAL BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3279154
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture an FRP cylindrical body of superior torsional modulus in one direction while preventing the lowering of torsional modulus of elasticity as much as possible by providing a layer composed of reinforced fiber arranged y the first angle in the axial direction and a layer composed of reinforced fiber arranged by the second angle in the axial direction and specifying the ratio between respective angles and the thickness of respective layers.
CONSTITUTION: A fiber reinforced plastic cylindrical body used suitably for various kinds of frames, pipes, driving shafts, shafts for golf clubs and the like is formed by laminating layers composed of reinforced fiber and matrix resin. In that case, an A layer 1 and a B layer 2 formed by disposing angles θ1 and θ2 in the cylinder axial direction are provided. The θ1 and θ2 are set at the values of satisfying 30°≤θ1≤60° and -60°≤θ2≤-30° respectively. The absolute values of θ1 and θ2 are set equal substantially, and the ratio between the thickness of B layer 2 and the thickness of A layer 1 in the fiber reinforced plastic cylindrical body is set as more than 1 to less than 6.
