To provide a fiber scanning endoscope in which a confocal optical system and a scanning optical fiber are integrated while miniaturizing a size and maintaining operation efficiency.
A fixed side unit 220 has: a casing 221 fixed to the distal end of the endoscope; a moving member 222 stored in the casing 221; a spring 223 which is an elastic member biasing the moving member 222; an actuator 224 for moving, constituting a vibration member; and the first engaging member 225 engaging with the actuator 224 for moving. The first engaging member 225 is arranged so as to be coaxial with the moving member 222 relative to a center axis X. The spring 223 is arranged between the moving member 222 and the casing 221. The spring 223 biases a moving head part 231 toward the first engaging member 225. Consequently, the moving member 231 always engages with the first engaging head part 228.
