Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a fiber sphere by winding a uniform film around the whole of a sphere using a filament winding method.
CONSTITUTION: A sphere is assumed as a regular polyhedron and the A-A axis of the center line of a sphere passing the center of the constitutional surface of the regular polyhedron is set to the center of rotation to perform hoop winding having certain width α to form a fiber ring (a) and fiber rings (a)-(e) are formed by repeating the same operation with respect to all of the apexes or facial centers of the regular polyhedron.
