Title:
FIBER STRUCTURE FOR INK JET PRINTING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1112960
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a fiber structure for ink-jet printing that enables dye printing with reduced discoloration, high color thickness and excellent water resistance, can secure whiteness at unprinted parts and is suitable for a large sized advertisement board by applying a phosphorus-containing cationic substance onto fibers.

The phosphorus-containing cationic substance such as a copolymer of tributyl (4-vinylbenzyl)-phosphonium chloride and methylol acrylamide is fixed to the fiber surface with a crosslinking agent. In a preferred embodiment, the fiber structure contains cellulosic fibers.
