PURPOSE: To obtain the title structural material good in adsorptivity and air- diffusibility, capable of giving e.g. the platforms of shoes with excellent deodorizing function, air-diffusibility and cushioning nature by bonding an adsorbent through a binder to a double knitted fabric, made up of two sheets of substrate texture comprising surface and back surface and threads connecting them.

CONSTITUTION: A double knitted fabric made up of (A) a surface substrate texture 1 and back surface substrate texture 2 each pref. of mesh or lattice form and (B) threads 3 connecting them (pref. obtained by making monofilaments and multifilament yarns parallel) is impregnated with a binder (e.g. vinyl chloride-based liquor), and then sprayed with an adsorbent 4 (e.g. activated carbon, iron oxide), thus obtaining the objective structural material.
