Title:
FIELD EMISSIVE DISPLAY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002311886
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To suppress variation in brightness due to fluctuations of an anode voltage and hold stable luminous brightness by controlling timing for driving the cathode electrode.

Information on a signal which is outputted from a driving circuit controller 101 and modulated to a pulse width corresponding to a gradation of a picture for each pixel is outputted as information on a pulse signal converted so that a timing conversion circuit 102 shifts the rise timing of the pulse signal in every line to minimize an overlapping period of the pulse signal, and is supplied to a cathode electrode driving circuit 103. Therefore, in a field emissive display panel 105, each pulse signal is driven at phase-shifted timing, and a picture is displayed in sequence of each line. As a result, a lighting load of a pixel is made constant, the fluctuations in the luminous brightness can be suppressed.
