PURPOSE: To enable keeping as many information files as possible at hand and frequent access thereto by applying the constitution wherein information processing equipment as placed on a work table comes out to the side of a user when the work table is slidably pulled out toward the user, and a footing space is maintained thereunder.
CONSTITUTION: A work table 5 is supported on a roller 6 and a wheel 7 is attached to the rear part of the work table 5. The work table 5 is there by coupled to a work table support rail 8 in a rolling contact condition. The support rail 8 is fixed to a filing furniture body 1 via a fixture 0. The work table 5, therefore, rolls on the roller 6 and can be pulled out toward a user or pushed back smoothly on the turn of the wheel 7. As the wheel 7 is coupled into the work table support rail 8, the work table 5 when drawn toward the user does not tumble and fall. The aforesaid slide mechanism exploits a motion on the turn of the roller 6 and the wheel 7, and is less subjected to friction, and an be easily slid with a load thereon by the application of a small force. The work table 5 is so manufactured to have a width enough to place a keyboard for information processing equipment and match the depth of a business desk.
