To obtain a filler composition capable of providing a cured product having a strength required as a material for restorative treatment of teeth and having high safety by making the composition include a bisphenoxyethanolfluorene-based compound, a specific acrylic monomer polymerizable with the compound and an anticarious agent therein.
This composition is obtained by including (A) a bisphenoxyethanolfluorene-based compound represented by the formula (R is H or methyl) (e.g. bisphenoxyethanolfluorene dimethacrylate), (B) a bifunctional acrylic monomer polymerizable with the compound (e.g. ethylene glycol diacrylate) and (C) an anticarious agent (e.g. a fluorinated pitch). In the composition, 20-60 wt.% ingredient A, 5-40 wt.% ingredient B and 1-10 wt.% ingredient are preferably contained. Since a bisphenol type monomer is not contained, a filler comprising the composition has high safety.
