PURPOSE: To furnish fillet welding equipment excellent in working efficiency without necessitating the stress relieving stage after welding is finished in fillet welding of a stiffener to a plate.
CONSTITUTION: Claws 6 are provided on both sides of a work restricting device 5. The claws 6 of both sides move horizontally by rotation of a screw shaft 7 having a crosswise reverse screw and sandwich both ends in the widthwise direction of a work 1 carried-in. A beam 9 of a restricting device 5 main body is pushed down resisting a spring 11 by a hydraulic jack 12. The claws 6 restrict the work 1 on a circular-arcuate camber jig 2 and give preset distortion with specified curvature to the work 1. In this work restricted state, the gantry type multiple electrode fillet welding equipment 14 is self-advanced on a rail 16 and fillet welding of the stiffener 1b to the plate 1a is completed at a stroke.
