Abstract:
To provide a film capacitor that can prevent variations in voltage applied to capacitor cells to achieve the capacitor life as designed, and provide a connected capacitor, an inverter, and an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: A film capacitor 1 includes: a film laminate 8 obtained by laminating a first dielectric film 2 that has a first metal layer 3 and a first common metal layer 4, and a second dielectric film 5 that has a second metal layer 6 and a second common metal layer 7; and a first common electrode 10a and a second common electrode 10b that are provided on a pair of end faces 9a, 9b of the film laminate 8 and electrically connected with the first metal layer 3 and the second metal layer 6. The first metal layer 3 has a plurality of first rectangular belt-like metal layers 31, 32. The second metal layer 6 has a plurality of second rectangular belt-like metal layers 61, 62. The plurality of first belt-like metal layers 31, 32 and the plurality of second belt-like metal layers 61, 62 overlap to intersect each other in a longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
