Title:
FILM COATING COMPOSITION FOR MEDICINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS595122
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: The titled composition, containing hydroxypropyl cellulose and a specific synthetic water-soluble high polymer, and having improved moistureproofness and blocking resistance.

CONSTITUTION: A film coating composition for medicines containing one or two or more of methyl cellulose (10,000W150,000 molecular weight), polyethylene glycol (100W10,000 molecular weight) and polyoxyethylene lauryl ether incorporated with hydroxypropyl cellulose (hereinafter abbreviated to HPC). The composition contains all the synthetic high polymer components, and the properties of the coating solution and physical properties of the film can be optionally adjusted by adjusting the molecular weight and mixing ratio etc. of the respective components. The composition is usable in water as a solvent. The tackiness is reduced, and the sticking between the solid pharmaceuticals is prevented. Therefore, the maximal feeding rate of the coating solution in coating operation can be increased more greatly than in the simple use of the HPC.
