To eliminate a problem that detection and recognition at the time of succeeding in autoloading are insufficiently made in the feeding and autoloading of film from a film cartridge.

This film feeding device is constituted of a sprocket 9 to feed the film to a take-up spool, a spool shaft 22 to take up the film reaching the take-up spool and a motor sensor 30 to detect a detected signal from a perforation sensor 29 by which the moving amount of the film is detected because the feeding speed of the film by the spool shaft 22 is higher than that of the film by the sprocket 9 and the rotational amount of a motor by which at least the spool shaft 22 is driven, the feeding speed of the film is obtained from the rotational amount of the motor obtained by the motor sensor 30 to a fixed film moving amount meaning whether fed film reaches the spool shaft 22 or not obtained in specified timing from the perforation sensor 29, and it is discriminated as the success of loading at the point of time when the feeding speed becomes same.
