PURPOSE: The titled composit-type aqueous composition, capable of giving a film having improved low-temperature drying properties and resistance to crazing, and comprising a specific silicate, a water-soluble resin, a metallic oxide, ammonium salt of a higher fatty acid and calcium sulfite coated with silica sol.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) 100pts.wt. (solid content) a silicate expressed by the formula [R is alkali metal, -NH4, -N(CH2OH)4, -N(C2H4OH)4 or -C(NH2)NH; m is 2W6; n is any positive number], (B) 0.5W50pts.wt. (solid content) a water-soluble resin, e.g. an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol, (C) 1W50pts.wt. a bivalent metallic oxide, (D) 0.2W15pts.wt. ammonium salt of a higher fatty acid having a 13W19C straight chain hydrocarbon group, e.g. ammonium palmitate, and (E) 1W50pts.wt. calcium sulfite coated with silica sol as main constituents.
