PURPOSE: To always certainly perform the fusing and cutting of a film by preventing that the molten lump piece of the film remains on and adheres to at least a cutting blade to lower the heat conductivity of the blade to the film.

CONSTITUTION: A fusing and cutting means 17, a contact and separation means 28 and a control means 100 are provided and the fusing and cutting means 17 is constituted by arranging a cutting blade 17a having a heater built therein and a pedestal 17b on the mutually opposite sides of a film feed surface so as to oppose the edge of the cutting blade to the pressure receiving surface of the pedestal and the contact and separation means presses and separates the edge of the cutting blade and the pressure receiving surface of the pedestal based on the drive signal from the control means. The control means has a contact and separation control circuit 104 controlling the contact and separation operation of the contact and separation means and the contact and separation control circuit 104 imparts a drive signal to the contact and separation means on the basis of the signal detecting a mark for detecting a cutting position from a fed film and outputs a drive signal for cleaning up the edge of the cutting blade and the pressure receiving surface of the pedestal to the contact and separation means.
