Abstract:
To attain the improvement of the projection of a film holder and the miniaturization of a film scanner by narrowing a film image reader having a mechanism to scan a film original by a film holding member driving part and a film original plate driving part at a driving time in the film image reading device.
Since the film holder is housed at the inside of the housing of the device by relatively controlling the movable ranges of a carriage and the film holder, the projection of the film holder to the outside of a device is eliminated, and also the movable range of the film holder at the inside of the device is restrained to the minimum by the control of the movable range, so that the miniaturization of an entire device is attained.
