PURPOSE: To easily view and find out the contents of the picture of a film frame which is to be next converted into a video signal by providing reflecting plates below the frames other than the prescribed frame of a film.

CONSTITUTION: In this film picture converting device, a holder guide 5 is provided above a light source provided in the device main body 2, an image pickup element is arranged in the position where it faces the prescribed frame of the film 10 in the film holder 6 guided by the holder guide 5, and the picture of the prescribed frame of the film 10 is converted into a video signal by the image pickup element; the reflecting plates 12 are provided below frames other than the prescribed frame of the film 10 in the device main body 2. Thus, since the pictures of frames other than the prescribed one can be easily viewed, an operator can easily find out the contents of each frame picture which is to be next converted.
