To provide an extruded product having transparency and heat resistance equal to those of a conventionally well known light guide plate comprising a cyclic olefinic resin, industrially suitably produced with excellent productivity and economy, having little optical strain, hardly causing change with time by heat and ultraviolet rays, and discoloration caused by temperature and humidity in use, and also having excellent secondary processability such as suitability to printing, bonding and various kinds of coating.
The extruded product comprises a material containing a cyclic olefinic copolymer having (A) a specific cyclic olefinic structural unit and (B) a specified acrylic structural unit, and regulated so that the specific cyclic olefinic structural units (A) may not be adjacent to each other. The extruded product has excellent optical characteristics such as transparency and birefringence, excellent adhesion and bondability to other materials, excellent durability such as heat resistance and moisture resistance, and excellent secondary processability. The optical component, the light guide plate or a transparent conductive substrate has not only excellent optical characteristics such as a high transparency, a low birefringence and a low optical strain, but also excellent durability and light resistance under a high-temperature and/or high-humidity condition, and also have excellent mechanical strength.
