To provide a film type capacitance sensor ensuring excellent pencil hardness, breaking elongation and folding resistance of coating, even when it is coated with a protective layer containing cellulose acetate as a main component.
The film type capacitance sensor 2 includes a base film 10, a pair of electrodes 12A and 12B formed, respectively, on both surfaces of the base film 10, a waterproof layer 14 containing a carbonyl group as a main component and covering at least one of the pair of electrodes 12A and 12B, and a protective layer 18 containing cellulose acetate as a main component and covering at least part of the waterproof layer 14. Between the waterproof layer 14 and the protective layer 18, an intervening layer 16 where progress of the hydrolysis due to H+ freed from the cellulose acetate is slower when compared with the waterproof layer 14 is provided.
