To provide a filter connector which can be fabricated with simple man-hours for assembling process and accordingly allows suppression of the costs.

A filter connector has a signal contact 3, a ground plate, and a two-terminal type filter element 6 fitted with leads. One end of the signal contact 3 is connected with a base board 1 while the other end is extended from a contact inserting hole 21 provided in a housing 2 toward another contact inserting hole to receive the contact of the mating connector member 9. The ground plate is installed in the specified outer position of the housing. One lead 61a of the filter element 6 is fixed and held in the hole 21 in such a way as contacting with the signal contact 3 while the other lead 61b is connected pinchedly with a pressure contact terminal formed on the ground plate.
