Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress formation of cracks in a smuts adhering layer in vacuum dewatering process.

CONSTITUTION: In a filter consisting of a filter body 1 prepared by covering a flat supporting body 7 with a filter medium 3 in the way of setting a hollow space between them, the external surface of the filter medium 3 is bent like a concave surface, so that crack formation in the smut layer is suppressed and dewatering efficiency is improved at the time filthy water is sucked and filtered and the smuts adhering to the external surface of the filter medium 3 is dried by vacuum dewatering.
