Title:
FILTER AND FUEL INJECTOR USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3841054
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a filter which can capture laminated foreign matter, secure a satisfactory flow passage area and cope with both of high foreign matter capturing capacity and low pressure loss and to realize a fuel injector.
SOLUTION: This filter 50 is force-fitted into a filter fitting hole 42 arranged in a fuel introducing passage 41 and fixed inside the hole 42 and has a large diameter part 51 on the open end side being a fuel inlet and a small diameter part 52 in the cylindrical wall of which many narrow pores 53 are bored. Each of the pores 53 is used as a filtering pore and is formed to have the size smaller than that of foreign matter so that laminated foreign matter can also be captured surely. The end part 54 of the part 52 being the bottom part of the filter 50 is made hemispheric and the cross-sectional area of a flow passage formed between the outer peripheral surface of the part 52 and the inner peripheral surface of the hole 42 is made larger gradually as it goes to the end 54 side so that the pressure loss can be made low.
