To provide a filter which can prevent a residual liquid from leaking during filter exchange work and does not need to change an installation posture of a filter in an inkjet recorder, and the inkjet recorder equipped with the filter.
The filter includes a capsule upper member, a capsule lower member and a filter medium. The capsule upper member has a central connection port and an outer peripheral side connection port, and the capsule is provided with a pipe therein extending from the outer peripheral side connection port to the near bottom face (the deepest part) of the capsule lower member. The liquid supplied from the outer peripheral side connection port through the pipe is filtered by the filter medium, and then the filtered liquid is outputted from the central connection port.
