Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium by which a suspension containing sludge of concrete or stone can be rapidly filtered and separated into water and sludge.
SOLUTION: This filter medium, which is suitable for filtering the suspension containing particulate matter such as sludge of concrete or stone, is a nonwoven fabric obtained by entangling a filament having 1-10 μm average fiber diameter at random three-dimensionally to have 100% water absorptivity. It is preferable that the nonwoven's basis weight is made to be 30-300 g/m2 and the nonwoven fabric is manufactured by using a polyamide resin.
