To provide a filter medium laminate composed of a plurality of layers of a filter medium sheet combination.
A filter medium 1 includes a wavy filter medium sheet 3 and an opposed filter medium sheet 4. The pleated wavy filter sheet 3 has a flow path of curved wavy pattern (7a and 7b) or a wavy form 7. At adjacent end parts 8, the wavy filter medium sheet 3 and the opposed filter medium sheet 4 are sealed together in the form of sealing material beads 10 and 14. The filter medium 1 is built into the filter medium laminate spirally or in laminated layer fashion. The fluid flows into either one of the first area and the second area of the filter medium laminate, and the fluid flows out into the other of the first area or the second area of the filter medium laminate. Thus, the passage of the fluid enables it to filtrate through the filter medium to achieve the filtering process of the fluid. In this case, the first part of a plurality of the flow paths is closed to the fluid which tends to flow in but is not yet filtered, and the second part of a plurality of the flow paths is closed to the fluid which tends to flow out but is not yet filtered.
